This just in: AFLC client David Wood reports that attending the 2012 Arab International Festival in Dearborn, Michigan was an entirely different experience from previous years, thanks in large part to the efforts of AFLC attorneys Robert Muise and David Yerushalmi. During the 2010 Arab International Festival held in Dearborn, David Wood and three of his fellow Christian missionaires were arrested and jailed for preaching the Gospel to Muslims. Here’s some footage of our trip to America’s largest mosque, where we peacefully distributed hundreds of copies of the New Testament. Just last year, Dearborn Police said they would arrest Christians for passing out materials on public property near the mosque (even across the street). In an amazing turn of events, Dearborn Police were very professional, and they even let us stand on the curb at the parking lot exits to pass out Bibles to Muslims who were leaving the mosque. I’ve never seen Dearborn Police so respectful towards us. It’s simply amazing to see the fruits of the hard legal work of Robert Muise and David Yerushalmi of the American Freedom Law Center!
